no FP notice for my wife

Is this normal to get the FP notice only for me. My case was filed on Sep 30th RD is Dec 02 and today I got the FP notice just for myself and the date is 27th of december. I am planning to go back home on 29th I was wondering is this normal. Should i expect my wife's FP soon or it can take longer.
The second question i have about the receipt number. When you file I485 do you get only on receipt number for both application (husband and wife) or should we get 2 numbers.

Husband & Wife receive separate FP notices. The FP notices may arrive together (if you are lucky) or on different dates. The FP date & place may be the same (if you are lucky) or different.

Each application (husband & wife) will have a separate LIN* number.

Hi nogcnolife - You could check with your attorney office if they have received both the receipts. You can try calling USCIS 800# to check if they have the file in their database (I remember reading somewhere in this forum about this).

Today i got the receipt number for my wife but no FP notice yet. Mine is on 27th december

Friend of mine got his FP 10 days before his wife's FP. So it is common.So no need to worry. It looks like you are in same boat as me. I applied my I-485 and my wife's and received only receipt for myself and not my wife's yet. It looks like you have the same scenario. How long it took your's wife receipt to reach you after your's? Or did you call USCIS to get one? I really appreciate your response.

My lawyer called and got the receipt number.
