no fingerprint notice since last fingerprint done in february 2006

so, I filed my I-485 (asylum based) in 2005 september, I got two code 1 FP done in 11/2005 and then in 02/2006, no updates since 11/2005. I went to info pass and was told that I am under background check. Is it normal to not to have a FP notice for that long or is it due to name check? My FP expire pretty soon and I am wondering what to do other than wait . Your feedback is appreciated.

Perhaps you may get a FP notice around the 15-month expiration date so you can wait for a little more. If that doesn't happen, then I think it is most likely due to pending name check. In that case, then I think when it's cleared and your case is ready to be adjudicated, they will probably request for another FP (and then approve your case).
