Folks,
Just got this news from our law firm. INS Boston has stopped issuing EAD/ Advance Parole effective today. All the applications must go to INS Vermont service center/ The service center at which 485 was filed.
Anyone has any experience to share, please go ahead. I was planning to go to Boston office to renew my EAD, but looks like now I will have to send the documents to Vermont.
Following is the actual mail:
==============================================
If your I-485 was filed in Vermont or any other office, the Boston office can no longer issue EADs or APs. If you filed your I-140/I-485 with Vermont, you will now have to file your I-765 and your I-131 there. If your I-765 has been pending for over 90 days at the VSC, the local office may issue EAD depending on the circumstances (for example, if there was an RFE they would not issue). Advance Parole for employment-based applications will only be done locally if there is a bona fide medical emergency. To summarize, EADs and APs can only be issued by the office which holds the I-485.
