Jony Lever, I think the last approval date I read on this board was dec 20. (The messages were posted by people later than dec 20, but people said they heard that approved on dec 20). Do you know of any other recent approvals? I think this week will be slow due to Holidays season.

Setting expectations: Jan 9 theory

Why Jan9th : A lot of folks are on vacation in the last week of december.
The new week starts on 2nd Jan.
That week is short only three days: 2,3,4
People will have jet lag.
Some will have hangovers.
Some will be mesmarized by their Australia, Japan, Bungee jumping, Sky diving experince.
Some will be exhausted with excessive sex et all.
In all real sense, they will start churning out the work only in the following week.
They will really start working on 7th Jan and that is why results will start coming out on 9th Jan.

Now the other part is, saying Jan. 9 sets the expectations.
Desparte folks, who want approval on first date of January 2002, will somehow defer their expectations to Jan 9th by repeated hammering of this date.
IF the approval comes earlier to that, it is always welcome ( probability 15%)
If it does not, not many will jump over the cliff in sheer desparation.

This is why Jan 9th is my call.

Approved as per AVM

Just checked the AVM to find out that my 485 was approved on Dec 26th!

I am on mighty counts list with the handle "harry potter"

For everybody\'s benefit, here are my details

FP Received Date : 10/5/01
Actual FP Date (Scheduled Date) : 10/9(11/2)
AD : 12/26/01
Yet to receive the courtesy copy by mail

However, my wife\'s case generated an RFE. Gurus any thoughts why this might have occurred?
