NJ-Renewal of unexpired driver license after PP stamping

My experience (Last April experience) NJ DMV does not allow early renewals. You have to wait till last month of expiry.
And no clue about renewing with PP stamping

Yes. I did renew after PP stamping since my DL was already expried when my I-485 approved. DMV renewed it just for one year with PP stamp expire date. I should have wait till i get my phisical card.
