NJ Driver's license renewed

Hi all,
I was able to renew my driver's license based on the expiry date of my EAD at Wayne, NJ. Yesterday morning i spent about 1.5 hrs in the immigration queue to update my status. I came back this morning and got my license photo ID in 45mins. The folks at MVC are cordial and so much change compared to last year. Governor MCGreevy is really changing the entire MVC. If you do not have all the documents in place, your trip will be waste. If you need more info let me know.
 
Documents needed

Following are the documents needed for renewing Driver's license in NJ

* Valid passport with I-94 card attached
* Social Security Card
* Your NJ driver's license
* EAD card
* Proof of mailing address..like bank statement, electricity bill, phone bill.
* Cash $9 for renewal

The MVC opens at 8 am. You can be there around 7.30am, if you want to get your stuff done within 2 hours.
 
Guys:

In order to get any sort of work done in NJ, is it required to go to Wayne/Eatontown or you can got to a DMV office in your area??
 
Regional MVC only

Local MVC do not accept non-residents applications. Only the Regional MVCs have immigration offices alongside the motor vehicles dept. There are quite a few Regional MVCs. You can check them on the web.

So when I get the Plastic card, I can go to the Local center, can I go with I-551 stamp too but that will make them issue Lic. for a year only I guess.

I don't have a car, therefore I am trying to avoid going to regional center...

I got mine renewed for four years using the stamp only at the local center in Wayne, NJ (not the regional one on Rt 23, this was at the local one on Rt 46). No problems.
 
don't have a car then why do you need a license....just kidding :)

I am not sure about stamping on PP but with plastic card you can go to the local MVC/DMV and can get a license for four years.
