NIW self petition question

Hi everyone. I want to thank you all for putting in a lot of information that I cannot easily find. My question is, I am planning to apply for self petitioning through NIW (via an attorney). I am in the molecular biology field working generally on breast cancer and have 4 publications at Cancer Research level (impact factor around 7-7.5) which three of them I am the first author. I also have 5 first author publications in international conferences. Two of my papers have just been published on may 2010 and thus they don't have any citations. The other two papers have a total of 15 citations. I am currently a postdoc at Ivy league, NY and can find 10 letters of references. I was wondering if I am in a good standing to apply for the NIW self petition or I should wait longer.
Thank you very much for your responses......

Consult with the attorney specializing in these type of petitions for an evaluation. One benefit is if it is determined that you would be better off building your resume, the attorney can advise you of the areas of weakness you should address for the best outcome.

I second Concerned4us.
You are most likely to be told to hold off for another year in which you can build up your case. However, I have seen well-prepared cases with not-so-great credentials to go through, so building your case is VERY important.
