NIW RFE received from NSC

After waiting for 10 months at NSC, I got RFE. I am kind of desperate. Gurus, do you think I still have chance to get my NIW case approved?

The RFE is

1. Please submit documentary evidence to establish that your work is national scope. Relate your actual results and their impact to national interest.

2. Please submit any additional papers before the May 19, 2006. (My RD)

3. Provide citation.

4. Demonstrate that the national interest would be impacted if labor certificate is required.

5. Establish that you have a past record that justifies projections to future benefits to the national interest.


My background:

1. Ph.D. in civil engineering
2. 6 publications, all are first author. Most are new, 3 are published before my RD and 3 are published after RD. Only 7 citations but all for the first publication since most are new.
3. 6 recommendation letters (3 independent) are submitted last year.
4. 3 membership.
5. PE.


Do you have any idea what I could do for the RFE.

Is this a do-it-yourself petition, or the case was built by a lawyer?

In anycase, do not loose hope, and think clearly and argue correctly your case against the requirements. It is all about advocacy. I do not have my coverletter since it was prepared by my lawyer, but If someone can give you a coverletter that passed and worked, that will be good.

Thank you very much for your response. I just do not know if I am qualified for NIW. Anyway, I will try.

Did you get the RFE via e-mail or regular post and did you see any LUD in your case prior to that.
