1) Can I apply for the NIW on OPT and still go for the H1. I had heard that if we apply for NIW from F1, we might not be able to get OPT. Would filing after I get my OPT cause any problems?
2) I saw a lot of online NIW sample letters. The format goes like
dear sir/madam
qualification summary
research projects
listing of credentials
attached documents
conclusion
Does that sound OK? or would you recommend something different?
3) In listing research projects should it be focused majorly on the significance and intrinsic merit? or are minor details like the dates, what I specifically did, etc equally important
4) What documents should be notarized and should I number all documents just by writing a page number on the photocopies (of memberships/certifications/publications) and put it in a large folder with compartments
5) How do I prove significance of extremely recent papers. They are in great journals but since its just 1 month old (and probably 4 by the time I apply) its too less a time to gain many citations. Should I just make the recency of the paper a point.
6) A friend told me that abstracts can be included in publications and presentations both? for eg from the ACS or ASBMB abstract books - Does that make sense!!!! or should I rather list them separately as conference proceedings or something?
Any answers would be helpful. Thank you so so so very much for all the help. This forum is just incredibly helpful.
