NIW question, how important is to have an employer during the petition process?

I recently quit my job, and currently looking for another job within the same field, and I decided to apply for immigration under NIW,

im aware that NIW applicants are self-sponsored, and do not require employers, but I want to know if it really won't affect my petition like it says, or it will somewhat affect my application.

A job offer is not required for NIW. Actually working in the field you are applying for lends a lot in terms of credibility.
