My I140 (NIW, self petition) was approved in June, 2002. And I filed my I485 in July, 2002. I lost my job (in PA) in December 2002, just find a new one in Virginia. I have a couple of questions regarding status and changing of address.
Here are my case details:
1. I140 (NIW) approved in June, 2002.
2. Filed I485 in July,2002,VSC. pending
3. EAD received in August, 2002.
My questions are:
1. I was on H1B during my previous job. After I lost that job in December, do I have legal status to stay in the U.S. with my EAD and pending I485?
2. I assume that I could use my EAD for the new job instead of transfering H1B or reapplying for another H1B. Am I correct?
3. My new job will be in a different state. I will have to move from PA to VA. According the information provided by this site, I should inform both INS and INS local office the change of address. What is the impact of changing of address on my I485 process should I expect?
