niw during residency

I am new to this forum. I am currently a resident in an internal medicine program. Before joining the program, I worked on research with a few publications, including a couple during my residency, and I also hold a master's degree in medical science from a prestigious medical school in the US. I am applying for a fellowship, and considering filing for greencard using NIW category. Do you know anybody who's got their petition approved during their residency? Also, if you know any good lawyer who has experience in NIW cases, please recommend one. Thankn you very much!

I am a psychiatry resident. My NIW was approved by VSC in july 06 but waiting for my pd to be current. I am woth Stephen Jeffries in NYC.
