First thank everyone for help. Before I filed my application by self in July 2003, I donot know this website. I know thsi site only 2 months ago and I read a lot from here sicne two month ago. I know what mistakes I made in my application, however, fortunately, my case approved. here is my situation.
Ph. D. in materials science and Egnineering in 2002
Work in a high Tech company as a scientist, projects funded by DOE since graduation.
15 publications in Europe, China and USA as first authors, but I didnot supply citations since I didnot know how to get them when I prepared for my application.
No awards
6 recommndation letters from people I work with, one is from Navy Research Lab, one from my current boss, others from Univ. professors.
I did not write a long cover letter (only 1 page), but my current work is national interest (energy related), my boss stressed significance and innovation of my current work. I attached several news report about my company and Bush' union adress about my field.
