NIW: Any Rejection after RFE?

As a matter of curiosity, I wonder whether anybody knows about an NIW case that was rejected after RFE. I got the impression from this forum that almost everybody who gets the RFE ultimately gets approved after he/she fulfills the demands of an RFE. While it might be an over-optimistic assumption, let me know if I am wrong.

Yes you are wrong

A lot of EB1-EA and EB2-NIW cases got denied after RFE. The after-RFE denials outnumber those direct denials. Most denied cases were not posted, I guess.

There have been very few reported success for students in the recent years. Currently EA/NIW approval is relatively easy at TSC and tough at VSC.

A frequent author of "science" and "Nature", my fellow graduate student at the school across the river from Boston backbay, was one of those unluckies.

I knew some friends around me, about 5 file NIW and were required more evidences, None of them was denied even in early 1999. I guess the INS will deny you directly if they think you are not qualified. But it is possible some of us may suffer pain even you submitt RFE, I guess the rate may be ....20% (it is just my guessing!). Anyway I like to discuss it with you guys since we are all in same boat. Let me know anything you want talk.

In fact I extensively searched the web and I also know two guys who received RFE for their NIW petition - but both were approved. So my feeling was (until lesspain replied to my posting with some real information from the experiences of his/her friends)that "mostly" the RFEs result in approvals (of course, if properly documented and replied).

I would really appreciate realistic feedback from those who went through (successfully or otherwise) the agonies of NIW.

You are right. I completely agree with you. Most of times, INS denys your applications when it asks you for more evidences especially a lot-INS thinks you are not qualified but gives you a chance. VSC is tough on this.
