NIW and I-140 questions

HI guys,

gottsa few question regarding the I-140 form in NIW applications.

1.In part 3, asked current nonimmigrant status in the US, and the date it expires on. Should I fill in F-1 visa? Is the expiration date for F-1 visa or should I fill in D/S (duration of status) as in the I-94 form.

2. Is IRS tax number same as SSN?

3.In part 6, the proposed employment, would a "research scientist" be enough, and I need to look for the SOC # from the webpage of the dept.
of Labor?

4. In part 6, can we just fill in any potential place for the "address where the person will work" and file the application to the corresponding INS center?

1. F-1, duration: D/S.
2. I believe the IRS tax number concerns employers. Since you are self-petitioning for your case, you do not need to fill that part.
3. Research Scientist is OK.
4. I would recommend you use your current lab\'s address and have your advisor stress on that intention in his/her refernce letter.
