NIW and AC21

Could someone please enlighten on the application of AC21 with respect to NIW?Is AC21 needed at all,since NIWs are self petitioned and not by the employer?Could one change jobs as long as it is in the same or similar field of national importance?

I guess so. If self-sponsored NIW petitoner changes job to similar area, there should be no problem and AC21 is probably out of question.
