from my signature above you will see that am a cameroonian who won the dv lottery but presently in nigeria cuz i school here so i decided to have kcc scheduled my interview in lagos which is already done and is 2nd week of july
but some people in other forums are saying i made a very big mistake in choosing to do my consular processing here in nigeria; they say it would have been easier for me to do it in my home country. They say it will be very difficult for me and some are advicing me to contack kcc and have them changed my place of interview
dear forummits, that has just st tension in me so pls you all should come top my aid and help me out
will it be diificult also because am a foreigner or what can i do; is it that hard to get a visa in nigeria
wil gladly welcome your advices

I think you are getting worried unnecessarily. Once you are legally resident in a particular country you can have your interview there. I don't know much about your status in Nigeria - whether you have to apply for a visa from Cameroon in order to live in Nigeria.

If your legal status is ok, then your perceived thoughts are unwarranted. Just gather the documents I listed for you on the Ghanaian thread or elsewhere and you will be laughing/smilling on the 2nd week of July.

To get a police sertificate from Cameroon (as stated in one of my replies to your posts), you have to contact your family or friends there to assist you. Let them contact the police headquarters in Yaoundé and they will be directed as to what you should do. If you read the Nigeria 2010 thread it will guide you on how to get the police certificate from Nigeria.

The rest of the documents are up to you. Birth certificate you should have one by this time; from your posts you have not shown that you are married so marriage certificate is out of the question; passport should not be a problem since you were notified about your win since January 2010; 2 passport-size photographs; educational certificates; and evidence of financial support. If you have serve in the military, then you need to get a military record; and then also if any of your documents are not in English or French you need to get it translated.

Note: Don't forget to book for your medicals at Kamorass Clinic, 238 Muri Okunola Str., Victoria Island, Lagos, Tel: 01-2612799
