NEWYORK After interview/ I-485 AOS still pending

hello all

I just appeared for AOS interview today with my wife in NEW YORK. My file is based on marriage.

Officer wrote AOS pending on my passport and told me they will need my backgroud check. and then they will inform me by mail and send me green card. My lawer told me this is normal and happens to all student visa's in Newyork.

Does anyone had any experience with interview at newyork.

If AOS is pending then do i have to go for interview again?

if my record is clean then how long it will take to check this?

interview was ok...
not many questions... just few
took all paperwork and then told me need background check......
i think it was because i was on student visa.......(sept 11th )

Same here. Had my interview Tuesday morning. Security pending....
Any clue how long this could take?
 
lawer told me 3-6 months

my lawer told me it will take 3-6 months..........
dont know.......
But i am really screwed as my EAD is expiring next month.
and i i didnt apply for renewal, till yesterday as i thought i will get GC
but now i applied today.
i dont know how long will it take
and will i be without one during that time............

whats up with you for EAD??
 
How long have you been waiting after you submitted the I-485/I-130 application. My RD date is Nov. 27, 2002, I haven't heard anything yet.

Waiting for my background check to come through!

I had my GC interview on Dec 7th, 2004 in Manhattan, NY. And the passport was not stamped due to one of the background checks not being completed. The immig. officer did mention it could take 6 mo. to a year in some cases.

I did the same mistake of not applying for the EAD under the presumption that the GC will be stamped on my passport. Wrong MOVE!

In any case, I did apply for the EAD and have received it since.

No update on the USCIS website since Nov 11, 2004.

Waiting ..... seems like forever!
 
I have sent e-mail to the FBI for name check, but never got reply from them. How many days it takes to get a reply for name check?
 
EAD renewal

I'm in the same boat. My EAD/AP expires on Apr 27, 05.

In I-765, for renewal the old EAD card (but still valid for next 2 months) is reqd.
Do we've to mail the old card with the application ?? What happens if you'r offered a job on EAD while u've applied for EAD ??

My Bad. A copy of current EAD is required & not the original EAD....
