Illegal immigration has little effect on you GC …. They are much needed in US as U are needed out here... Without them U would never get Florida Orange Juice at such a low cost… 50% of the crops in US will go waste … Ur taxes will go up .. Roads will never be the same … and what’s’ wrong about it … they just want to make a happy life for themselves by working hard... Thank them for making Ur life so much easier and cheaper ..... US is nation of immigrants …. Go figure.

A very fallacious argument - an illegal act is an illegal act, irrespective of whether it pertains to breaking a speeding law or immigration law. Sounds like - if you ticketed the speeder and hence did not let them speed, they would be late for work and that would cause reduced productivity and hence harm to them/society... Weird logic...

One could make the same fallacious argument about someone breaking into your house - they are working hard to break in and they want a happier life!!!! What’s wrong with that!!! And its unlikely you will get poorer by their break in…. And if they did not break in, they will need social security to keep them alive, which will come from our taxes. Doesn't it sound funny now…

At the end of the day people tend to forget, in addition to lack of legality, the hidden costs of an illegal uneducated alien who has no commitment to the fabric of this society... Those costs over the long-term will far outweigh the OJ costs... And your next generation will not have a job because too many citizen kids of illegal alien parents will be competing with them.... And your next generation will inherit a crumbling infrastructure because tax dollars were used up to support illegals. And your next generation will not have security since illegals and their kids who would have joined gangs (as in LA) will break into your kid’s house... And you just need to look at NM, CA and TX to see what’s happening in the border areas...

Illegal immigration is at best a zero sum game for the society - what they gain is the very least what you lose...

I do agree with and and you have Put forward some very valid points.
Though Not against the poor illegals who are working in this country to make a better life , but am against this whole illegal framework.

Just to get cheaper orange juice ( which by the way is way cheaper and that too fresh where I come from) , we cant allow ourselves to be held hostage to this situation.
Each child which goes to school is worth $10000.00 of our tax money. These illegals dont pay taxes , you and I do.
Each child born to illegals cost atleast $10000.00 or more and govt pays for it or the hospitals pay for it. What they do is raise thier charges and the insurance raises theirs.Illegals need medical assitance , they dont pay for it, WHO PAYS ??? You and me.
Who pays for general amenities .......the general working population.
The districts dont have enough money for public school. who suffers the kids.which includes our kids too........and the list goes on...........
So that one gallon of orange juices is actually not very cheap...........It is one expensive JUG of Orange juice you are Drinking.
And last the illegals immigration also brings in a lot Violence /gang related stuff ( btw if you are living in LA you would know what I am talking about )
which leaves less police officers for other things which inturn compromises our security.

Think about it !!!!!!! and Try to figure this one out.

Just to add one more thing..........If America need workers or "cheap worker" they will invite them with Visas like they did all of us.
Maybe then you will get your Orange Juice and cheap too without paying all other costs.

If you talk of USA ... someone being illegal -- is infact blurred..

This is the land of immigrants ... Immigrants came in all over world ... send all the Indians either to reservations or into the river....

When a new immigrant came ... the people welcomed them and communities came forward to build them houses and make there life a pleasent one .. well ... time has changed ... so have the laws.
In the deep south in the old days ... ranch owners and farmers -- the heartland of US ... got there work force as salves... Well since it is abolished .. they still need people to work in there farms ....

Now U say --- give them visas --- hmm here is a catch -- the heartland america does not want them to get visa ... if they get then they will demand equal rights -- like equal pay -- healthcare benefits --- less working hrs -- retirements etc ...

If the congress wants -- they can keep the borders sealed ... airtight.. But NO they do not want to do that -- they have kept it porous.
Sometimes last years --- they had made some border crossing difficult for illegals ... 1000's of ranch owners protested as they lost millions in there fields. Then the borders had to be softened to allow some to get in.

Well the constitution gives right to all the child -- who is born in US ... its citizenship ... the states provides benefits --- irrespective of the childs parents status .... Yes Ur tax dollars will go towards this .... this is the law out here and one is expected to abide by it.

BTW I dont get Healthcare Benefits , I pay for them Myself and no retirement plan either. You cant demand these things . They are just a perk you get.
They are getting equal pay........all of them get above the minimum wage rate.

I believe thats what they are trying to with this bill..........keep the borders closed. here you are complainig abt the Congress for being soft and when they are doing something you disagree.

Yes to the Child who is an American Citizen.not his parents.......
BTW this law is going to be chnged soon too At least that what I read. It has already happened in UK and is going to be done here in the US too.
A child born to illegal parents will not be granted immediate citizanship.

Hmmm ... say if U have 2 kids going to school the state pays : $20000.00.

If U are paying more than 20,000 in taxes after getting all the returns ... then U can say that there are some school kids who are eating into Ur money...

And if U are paying less than 20,000 in taxes and U have 2 kids ... even U are getting help from other citizens to educate Ur kids.

I am not against illegals, they have a human right to work too and make better of thier lives. It is this whole system where the Big Corporates are making you think that you are paying lowers cost because of illegal. where infact the cost to you is much higher.
They are the ones who are making money.

BTW where I live I have pay extra for Schools besides my taxes and my kids dont even go to Publics schools........
So Infact I pay thrice one in my taxes which by way are closer to that amount......and I pay the District for School development, and I pay my kid 's Tution at the Pvt school But that is no concern to you or anybody else.

The Heartland America wants cheaper Labor ... the Corporate America needs cheaper labor ---Both play vital role in electing the Govt..... and they do not care how the labor force comes ...

as per my opinion The bill will go through. It might have the guest worker Programme attached to it.but Trust me this Bill will go through and it will be the only good thing Bush would have done for America in his two tenures .
