Updated 05/10/2002: Patience Needed for TSC 485 Waiters

"Report indicates that the Texas Service Center is currently processing about 1,500-2,000 cases per week. Why then TSC 485 cases are not moving in the TSC report? TSC reports that they are focusing on scheduling the older cases from 1999 and 2000 for fingerprints so that these cases can be completed. Accordingly, the 485 cases are currently held at March 2000 so that the TSC can clear out the older cases. For the later filers, patience is needed."

Sounds impressive?

Sounds good

If TSC could clear out all older cases and then move on, it\'s a good news for everybody because at least we know that TSC is aware of its random processing problem and it\'s a good move toward 180 days processing time schedule. but how long will it take to reach that objective? Two years? Hope so.

How many cases out of pending 45k cases are those old cases (1999 & 2000)?

If it is 10% of all cases, it should take TSC 1-2 months at the most to clean it up if it is the focus.

I just dont know what information to trust about TSC. What a pain.

Even it is for TSC hard to say how many old case left, they got hard time to dig thoes cases out of

Pending 1999/2000 cases

I had created trackers several times over the past few months
to track the 1999/2000 pending cases since I was one of them.
None of these trackers received more than 10 or 15 individual
responses. Statistically that proves that only a small fraction
of the cases pending at TSC are 1999/2000 cases.

This observation was also substantiated by my lawyers office
records.
