News about I-485 petitions

I spoke to the Customer Service Rep at NSC. Only Asylee 485 petitions will not be processed until October 2001 and employment 485 petitions will be processed as before.

What my friend heard from IIO is that 173 cases were processed last week(jun04-11) of which 44 approvals were posted. Also more cases were to be processed this week. I did not believe him but after seeing a lot of approval postings I believe its true.

173 cases were processed last week(jun04-11) of which 44 approvals were posted. Also more cases were to be processed this week(jun11-15). This is true and my friend has confirmed this from the IIO. He has got his approval since then but not me. My PD is OCT96....

Called NSC INS regarding my case. She was very polite and was informative. When asked about the processing hold, she says that only some type of Asylum cases are on hold as the limit for asylum visa has been reached for fy2001 and will resume processing in Oct2001.
