hi,

on 21 june, approximately 1 month ago, OMB has finshed reviewing the backlog reduction rule for LC. until now, nothing happened and it doesn't seem anything will happen soon.

i don't know if this rule will not be published unless PERM rule pending for more than 5 months in OMB will be accepted.

i mean perhaps there will be no backlog reecution centers if there is no PERM.personally i think there is no PERM in the coming months.

what do u think?

antonioa77,
I too feel the same. There r over 300 thousand labor cases pending to be cleared and thousands are being filed every month. It is not likely that the backlog reduction centers can clear that many cases in two years (remember that was the timeline). DOL probably excepts many who filed their labor petetion earlier will refile under perm. Starting Backlog reduction centers is not an incentive for them to refile. I feel DOL will wait until they publish PERM before starting the backlog reduction program. I still feel thay will come out with some statement this month.

PERM is close to annoucement

I think PERM is close to announce ment sometime this mionth, these guys have already hired the irectors of the PERM and backlog centers.....so these guys will not be paid to do nothing...I think PERM will be out this month......I think they are thinking that PERM processing will start after the election time...so that the the poeple's attention is away from PERM and all attention to the election......its politically sensitive time to bring out these things......
These things will be brought out when there is confusion and not with fanfare....

What ever the reason...our sufferring endless.....

I am not sure what happened to the 485 suit.....?

my 2 cents......
