Newly posted NSC 485 processing date.

How they did this since no much 485 approvals from NSC are seen recently?

by the time this timeline becomes "official" (ie posted on the USCIS site), the Oct. retro would've kicked in.

They can do this because so many cases are not "eligible" as no numbers are available -- so they skip over them and keep moving the dates.
Retrogressed cases are not considered as "backlogs"

What a brilliant ploy to eliminate backlogs across all service centers - sheer genius

what is the meaning of "processing" in this retrogression climate? All the 485 are getting processed at USCIS on the day 1(issuing receipt and sending the FP notices). What action one can take if the processing date passed the receipt date? 485 processing time has NO SENSE.

Appears to me NSC recently approves much less 485 than other centers and even than
itself before.

I suspect that NSC started to a certain extent the retrogression pratices even before it officially starts. This can certainly bring a big jump as their achievement.

No thats a good news.

10/01/2004. A four month jump.
However, no use to most of us.

I want to disagree .. this date is important for all of us.

USCIS maintains that they continue to process all the 485 application regardless of whether visa number is availiable or not.

Now if they find every thing ok with Ur application-- they just keep it in approved but awaiting visa number rack.

So this might be good news for most of the retro guys -- EB3's .. who had applied before 10/1/2004... If they call and initiated an enquiry .. most probably they will be told .. AWAITING visa number.

Nebraska bums have cleared all their backlog without touching a single file.

They can sit and play teen patti now, the priority dates will not move an inch for the next 3 years.

I was told "pending due to backlog"

where congressman's office told me that my case was stuck in name check.

The Ans for my inquiry was somewhat similar. It said there are no Available Visa nos now. Does that mean that my case will be approved as soon as the visa nos are available from oct 1????

Our University lawyer says.
"As they are processing cases for C current avaliable countries along with Retro countriues ....it is quite likely the dates will atleast move too JAN 2005 in next month or so . After that when everybody gets retrogressed dates will movely slowly till a stage will come when numbers become current. She also insisted that By feb march 2006 picture will pretty clear for most of E types GCs. However, teh people on better side are EB1 than EB2 than EB3."
