Folks,

Help me out. I live in Ashburn, VA - I sent my application in and the online case verification states that my case was received in Aug '06 and was being processed from the Vermont Service Center. However, when I go to the VSC website - there are no processing times for n400? Where do I get that info? Is that the DC district office then? If so, pathetically enough, the processing times for that office are currently running for March '06.

Can anyone shed any light or any timelines?

Unfortunately, all the cases in NOVA are too slow, even if you got the name check cleared before the others! YOU ARE IN QUEUE...This is the answer I had got from IO when I had called them, I was finger printed in 1st week of May and I recd. my ID in last week of Dec.....even though I was lucky to find out about my name check was cleared sometime in June 2006 (This is what I got from IO that I had called!)

Based on these assumptions if you were finger printed in September then you should be receiving your ID earliest in 4 months considering that you are not stuck in name check hassles....Good luck and keep your fingers crossed.

By no means I am trying to discourage you but just trying to state the facts here and I would say you would be very lucky like me if 4 months target works out without any problems.
 
Yes, it would seem the problem probably lies in Arlington DO, because VSC still seems to be cranking the paperwork out for places like Baltimore.

First of all did they receive your application and cash your check? If no, then you have to re-file again. (Always send thru registered mail with return receipt).

Are you done with your finger printing. If no call VSC and ask then what happened?
If you are done with you FP then schedule an InfoPass at your local District Office and see what they have to say.
 
Thanks - My fingerprinting is complete. I just cannot find the latest processing time for n400 through vermont - does anyone know this info? ALSO - do the infopass folks have more info than the web status?
My receipt data is august 8th - and the FP was does in mid august?

Go to processing times on uscis website and select Washington DO instead of VSC, that would give you processing times for your DO......

or maybe try following link?
