Does anybody know how to check I-130 and 485 process status in INS District Office? I filed at Newark Office in NJ. My receipt number only has 7 digits (2 upper-case letters + 5 numeric digits). I tried those links online to check the status and it wouldn't accept. I think it's because Newark is a district office, not a service center.
I did fingerprint in Nov. there. Then in Jan. got a letter asking me to go back do it again. I'm really worried if this time it would go through. Otherwise I will be wasting time doing fingerprints again and again without making any progress. Is there anyway to check it by phone or online? I'm very discouraged.
