07/19/00 stamping done.
At Newark, they stamp passport normally on Wednesdays. {Notice will say that}. That is your appointment day (no date reqd.) Timings are 8-12
Addr: 970, Broad St.
Procedure followed was,
1> Waited outside the building to get security check. You are suppose to wait in "appointment only" queue. The line was moving very fast.
2> Stood in another line. At the window, gave original 485 approval (I suggest you carry that). In about 30 hr, they just stamped the receipt (may be for authenticated?).
3> They sent us back to another room. We had to stand for about 45 min in that line to get security check again. In room 136, they took EAD, 485 approval, 2 photos, I-94 and packed it with our figure print. Also got a token number.
4> We moved into next room, IIOs where stamping passport in that room. We waited there about 2 hrs for our turn.
5> IIO just verified address and stamped passport making us free agent.
6> IIO told me that I should get actual card in about 6-7 months. I know I will get it before that.
