Newark, NJ: Interview, Oath & Scheduling Changes?

Hi,

I have 2 questions with regards to N400 interview and oath at Newark NJ.

(1) My understanding is that Newark conducts the interview and the oath on the same day. I know this to be the case as recently as mid-November. Anybody with a more recent experience on this matter?

(2) I believe that in some centers across the country there was some re-scheduling done in December. Does anybody know if this is still happening? Also, does anybody know if any rescheduling was done at Newark, NJ?

I have also applied from NJ state and Newark is my local office as well.
I have recently received the interview letter which is scheduled for last week of March. However the letter does not say anything about the Oath ceremony.

I think NJ is not conducting Interview/Oath on the same day anymore.

I believe that the letter will not state explicitly that the interview and oath are on the same day, since there is a judgment to be made on the basis of the test etc.
In my case the the place is given as "Interview and Oath Ceremony Site" on the top right of the INS notification.
Is that the case for you too?
Do you have other explicit information that Newark has stopped oath + interview on the same day (other than the inference from the INS notification)

Desikuda or some one who has gone through this recently: Did your interview notification specifically state that the oath will be carried out on the same day at Newark, if you pass the citizenship test?

Thanks for the reply.

Actually my letter also says "Interview and Oath Ceremony Site" on the top right of the INS notification.

One of my firends became citizen in August and her letter stated that "If you pass the ineterview your Oath will take place the same day at 4:00 PM.

Desikuda, who was a contributing member to this forum had his interview and oath on the same day around November 18th of 2002. I am not sure what his notification said. It will be good if he can comment on the same.

Also, anybody else with recent interview/oath experience at Newark, please post.

i applied in new jersey too ,but my local office is cherry hill

i have an interview date on the first week of march

my timeline is:

priority date :june 2002
fingerprint 2002
interview :march 2003

in my letter for the interview they don't mention anything about the oath it says "request for applicant to appear for naturalisation initial interview " ????????
from what i understand the oath ceremony will be scheduled later
