Newark FP, requested rescheduling on May 01, 2001; still waiting

My wife requested a FP reschedule at Newark beacuse she was out of the country. We have been waiting for the new appointmentment
for the last two months.

We called them couple of times. The said "we will give you the rescheduled appointment when ever there is a free slot" God knows when
they are going to have a free slot.

Seems that our I-485 apporvals are on hold because of this.

Has anyone expereinced any similar issues?

I am also in same boat. I have given request to reschdule for my wife\'s FP .. (it was suppose to be done on july 6 and she is out of USA)..

I think if you are the primary applicant then your approval doesnot depend on your wife\'s FP.

Let me know if you or anyone else feels differently or have positive/negative experience.

Hello Hominid,

I did talked to INS and they also confirmed that primary applicant\'s approval doesnot depend on spouse\'s FP done or not. My lawyer is also having same opinion.

LEt me know who disagrees.

PD April 99 - ND Sept 2000. Mine FP done on Dec 2000.
Waiting for approval..
