New York PP stamping, Please help!

Hi,

I just got approval e-mail and waiting for approval notice, I have a few questions regarding pssport stamping :

1. Do I need approval notices (me and my family) to get infopass appointment?? OR if I get print out of USCIS web site case statue screen, would that help??

2. What would I need (documents) to get the pp stamping done?

3. Any NY city stamping experience will be very helpful.

You don't need the notice to get infopass, but you'd better bring the original when you go there. Plus everything else you have just in case.

1. No. You can get infopass appointment without approval notice. Make sure to print out the infopass appointment and bring it with you when PP stamping. If you did not receive approval notice in a timely fashion, you can cancel the appointment. (I don't think it will be happened.)
2. You need to bring drive license ( for the security not for the pp stamping), infopass appointment letter, I-485 approval notice, all of your I-94's, EAD cards, APs, and of course current Passport, 2 passport style pictures (don't wear eye glasses!!!. I took pictures with eye glasses and was asked to leave to retake). Normally, that is it. The I-485 approval notice will indicate clearly what you need to bring with you.
3 make sure your right index finger is in a good condition.
try to make an early appointment for example 7:00 to 7:15. You will be asked to wait outside on the line and the security guard will ask you to show the drive license, appointment letter. They will ask you take out all of the stuff out of your pocket and put in your backpack, take off your jacket and put into the inspection security machine with your backpack. Normally, it is a fast process and take 20 to 25 mins. They will ask you take escalator to room (may be 310, not quite sure), the security in that room will check whether you have brought all of the required documents and give you a number and ask you to go to another room in 3 floor. then you will see the red sign call your number and you will be served by the ladies.
