New VISA Law for PR

I just find out that law for Visa requirement has been postpond till the eraliest next year and it will not be implemented. Does anyone has any concerte information about this issue. Please comment. Your help is appreciated.

The following is the reply i received for frind of mine regarding the NEW VISA law for PR. Can anyone please confirm his Statement or provide me with the IN Head quarter phone#.

INS Headquarters has confirmed that the POEs have been giving out the wrong information. the fact sheet was prepared in anticipation of the reulations being filed October 21. The Proposed regulations requiring visa for LI Commonwealth citizens was withdrawn and won't be resubmitted until at the earliest, after the new year. It could be much later than that and might be abandoned because of the complaints from the Canadian government. Check again with the POE to see if they now have the correct information.

I think theres is a lot of political maneuvering going on as the Canadian govt is trying hard to stop it. So depends ont he outcome of that pressure from Canadian Govt.

If security gets worse worldwide then I expect it to be implemented, else may be not.
