Last year I had a very bad experience with INS. My attorney send 485 application on July 20th , but till October 18th there was no receipt !!! My company gave the check (dated July 7th) which was valid only for 90 days . At last we decided to apply again because the bank may send the check back and we don’t want to take a chance. To our surprise INS issued the receipt after 4 months and bank cashed the check !!!(what a great banking system, I asked one bank guy and he said they don't look at the date) They took our money for the second application and send another receipt notice with same A# ( dump people). My Attorney wrote a letter to INS to withdraw the case and INS closed it. Now I got a letter from INS saying that they reopened the case, again my Attorney called INS , INS want to make sure that we are closing the case, Attorney asked about my first case , INS said it is under review , no action taken yet…. I don’t know what is ‘under review' means . When will get my approval only GOD knows !!!!!!
