New to the forums - please help - simple question

Hi,

I am new to these forms and am about 2 years into the green card process. I have noticed you posting updates of when you got certain approvals but have so far been unable to decipher the codes you are using (ND, PD etc)!

I have just had notification of my fingerprinting date, I have received my Employment Authorization Card and my advance parole document for travelling. Do any of you know how long now I might expect to wait for full I-485 approval? My lawyers say it will be next June....

Here is the info..

PD Priority Date (when your application for labor was filed)
RD Receipt Date (for your 485 application)
ND Notice Date (for 485 application)
FP Finger Printing
AP Approval Date

VSC is currently taking about 12 months from receipt date to approval date. You can check the latest processing times for all centers at the main page for this site.
 
Thanks very much. That definitely helps. My receipt date is 7/8/02 so I guess I am looking at another year to wait. My fingerprinting date seemed to come through quickly but maybe not - I'm not sure how long it is supposed to take.

I'm so glad I found these forums. It is great to know there are others out there in the same position as me. Thanks again for the reply.

PD - 10/31/00
RD - 7/8/02
ND - not sure where I would get this from
EAD - 7/23/02
FP - fingerprints to be taken 8/15/02

From looking at other postings, it seems like it may take 5 months from fingerprinting to approval. Hopefully this will be the case...
