New to the board - Help Needed.

My I-140 application has been approved for AOS. I am contemplating between CP and AOS.
For CP - 3months(I-824) + 6 months (process).
I am not very sure about the time it might take for AOS.
Time is a very critical factor in my case as my company is not doing so good.
Any suggestions/Advice?

Either way its going to take you 9 months. It looks like from the current
 trend. AOS will be shorter if VSC keeps up the speed. But no one will
 know for sure.

Are you sure that I-485 gets will get approved in 9 months??? I saw the tracker. Some people who have applied in March still doesn\'t have a FP date. I am confused.

VSC is closing the gap fast. CP was a good options till the end of
 last year 2000. One used to get the interview in 2 months and the
 greencard in 3 months after that. It is no longer so fast. I guess,
 it takes time to get an interview and to process I-864 (which may
 take more than 3 months, depending on VSC\'s processing speed).

 For my friend it took 6 months to process I-864 last year. I don\'t know the trend now.
