I know that there is an existing forum for questions on this topic. I just wanted to bring up a slightly different topic. My wife had the interview on Feb 22. We are waiting for he security clearance. I saw some real horror stories on the forum so I am little concerned now.
The Lawyer said that they are going by the dates as posted in the district office processing times. However, looks like USCIS has no control on the security clearance so those dates make no sense.
Given that we are at the mercy of 2 organizations for prompt clearances, I had a quick question:
Can we apply for advance payrol after the interview while waiting for the new security clearance process to clear? Please let me know.
