The following announcement was posted this morning on the American Immigration Lawyer\'s Association web site:

CIUDAD JUAREZ TO ACCEPT FOR CONSULAR PROCESSING ANY EMPLOYMENT-BASED CASES WHERE THERE IS A PENDING ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS
Kathleen Walker, chair of the AILA Department of State liaison committee, advises that the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez will now accept for immigrant visa processing any pending employment-based adjustment of status case (from ANY nationality) for which the priority date is current and the following are sent to the Chief of the Immigrant Visa Section in Ciudad Juarez:
Original I-797 approval notice for I-140
Copy of I-140 petition as filed with support documents - no need to be certified
Copy of the I-824 receipt for filing with the INS (the I-824 can be for notification of ANY consulate, not just Ciudad Juarez).
Yes, you read that right. This procedure is available to persons of ANY nationality with a pending adjustment of status and an I-824 that\'s been filed."
