New processing times

My lawyer called NSC

My lawyer called NSC as my RD is 02/14/01. He was told that NSC is processing cases from before Dec 2000. From another reputable source I heard that NSC had "discovered" boxes of files in the mailroom dating from Sept 2000. They were processing these before they got to the bulk of 2001 cases.

Oh, boy! There goes my hope of an approval soon...

My RD: 03/01
With so many March approvals going on I thought, I should be
getting my approval pretty soon... Now it might be another
30-45 days before I see an approval. Or may be later..

True. But it is a relief to all the unfortunate ones stuck out there since Aug 2000

Hopefully the processing picksup after the backlog is over.

But things might be improving ..

In 11/2001 I had read that NSC was trying to speeden things up. And I kind of agree.

1. Recently I filed for my EAD. Sent it @ 01/26 and NSC sent me a notice receipt dated 01/29.
On 02/08 they have sent an RFE for my EAD. I am still waiting for it.

2. I had my FP done on 01/24 and NSC AVM was updated on 01/28 that the results have been received.

Discliamer : my wife\'s I485 case is somewhat messy (detailed in my other postings), but hey, things seem to be a bit faster.

Regards to all !

402-323-7830. It shoudl be on your notice letter.

Thats NSC\'s number (for AVm as well speaking with an IIO).

Its really tough getting in during the day, you will always get "engaged" tone, but if you have to speak with an IIO you have no other option but to keep on trying. My wife once was on the phone for almost 2 days. However other times I have called, I had to wait on an avg 30-45 mins.

If you just want to check your status, call after 9-10 pm anyday.
