new processing time report available on aila.org

Whata effiucency Is there anyone in gove or non-govt who can ask them what is going on?? I guess from last around one and half month there is no change. What a progress

there is a progress, they are quick in creating processing time report. but not changing content of report dramatically.

I believe there's an excess of cases with RD/ND Jan-Apr 2002, because of the 245(i) "window" back in 2001. I judge of my own experience, since my case falls into this category. And while the majority of those case were transferred to local, there probably is a lot of them pending. I also believe these cases are not straight forward - if you know what 245(i) was, you'd understand. Once they were all done, the processing dates will jump probably to Aug-Sep, just in couple of months. This apperently doesn't affect approval of later cases.

Remember, this is only my personal interpretation.

---------------------------------
I-140 AD 12/23/2001
I-485 RD 01/24/2002
FP1 03/23/2002
FP2 11/01/2003
3 EAD (don't have the dates) approved
No RFE
LUD 08/16/2004
Online message regarding inquiry
No messages changes regarding FP2
No notification that case was transferred to local office

Processing time moves forward only if they have cleared 95% of the cases. Now, there are quite a few of us waiting for FBI name check clearance for months, and that could be a factor too.

surprise surprise....no change at all........ :(
All,

It has now been about 1+ days since we have our 485 approvals per online message. We used to worry ourselves silly to se that there is no change in the dates on the processing report, until about 6 months ago. Then I read somewhere on the USCIS web-site (I am pretty sure of that, though not a 100%) that the time mentioned in the report is the filing date of the oldest pending case at the service center. Clearly, not all centers follow this when generating the reports.

Hope this helps.

what is this 245(i), could you please elaborate briefly.thanks

In short 245(i) is an act that was "reopened" for a short period back in 2001 Jan - Apr. It allowed illegal immigrants to apply for GC based on employment if they had a sponsoring employer. I had to pay a fine for that and the rest of the process was same as if I was legal (on H1 visa lets say).

I don't know many people who fell into this category, but I've seen on TV huge lines at the local office of people using this opportunity.

Again this is only my interpretation, as my attorney handled the case.
