New pilot test in San Antonio DO (urgent)

Is pilot test still conducted in San Antonio DO?

I found the following statements on the USCIS website:
"Not all naturalization applicants can take the pilot naturalization test. Only certain applicants interviewing at a few USCIS locations during the pilot period can take it. USCIS will mail letters to applicants who can take the test pilot several weeks before their interview date. Applicants who do not receive such a letter should prepare to take the current naturalization test."

Does this mean that, if nothing is mentioned on my IL letter regarding the pilot test (San Antonio DO) , I should prepare for the old test.

Thanks in advance!

1) The letter inviting you to take the new test, if it is sent to you at all, might arrive as late as a few days before the interview.
2) If you do get one, taking the new test is voluntary. Declining carries no penalty.
3) I would recommend that you prepare for both. Many of the questions are duplicated anyway.
4) If you then agree to take the new test and flunk it, you can immediately take the old one with no penalty. You are thus getting an extra ("free" !!!!) attempt.
5) If you are uncomfortable with preparing for both, prepare for the old one only.

I got my letter three days before the interview but passed the new one with no problem. Hope this all makes sense and good luck.

MY IL letter didn't mention anything about the new test. Besides, I got a booklet a CD for the study of old test. They originally put me to Houston DO for my FP. Then, somehow, they put me to San Antonio (SA) DO for my interview. Well, I don't know if people who did their FP in SA DO got any study materials for the new pilot test during their FP appointment.

I got a lot of pressure for the new pilot test due to this DO change, and also due to the tight scheduling.

Relax. Everything is OK. My initial interview letter contained no reference to the new test. Then a few days before the interview, I got a separate letter inviting me to take the new test on a voluntary basis. This second letter included the sample questions for the new test. However, I had already looked at them at this site:

Hope this answers your query. Trust me ... its easy.
