New passports with chips

Exactly, unencripted stuff is scary...

How about a new product: RFID secure passport-carrying box! I would get one of those if my passport had such a chip...
 
You know that they have these RFID chips for subcutaneous implantation in order to track cattle and expensive cats/dogs (sort of lo-jack for your kitten).

Next step will be the implanted encrypted passport chip as a pre-requisite for boarding an airplane (linked to an iris scanner).

Anybody here read '1984' by Orwell ?
