New passport questions

Hi

I just received my new passport (took 1 week to receive in snail-mail with expedited service).

1) It has country name as Place of Birth.
Is that o.k. or should I get it change to actual city I was born in (that was in my old previous country passport) ?

2) Its valid for 10 years only.
Does that mean that the passport is limited in validity or 10 years is what every naturalized one gets as their first passport?

Thanks

Country is the standard for place of birth in the US passport. But there are a few exceptions where the country is in dispute (for example Jerusalem) so they list the city.

10 years is the standard validity period for US passports for all US citizens (whether born or naturalized or whether it is their first passport), except for children younger than a certain age it is 5 years.
