New offer letter from old employer

Hello everybody,

Need some help with regards to H1B and GC. My company laid me off while on H1-B (Labor and I-140 approved); I started my H1 transfer with a Consulting company. Now my old company is planning to hire me back with my old H1-B. I was wondering if someone has gone thru a similar scenario. What all information needs to be documented in the new offer letter so that later on there are issues with my H1-B or my GC filing? (They are planning to continue the old filing). Any previous experiences would be really be appreciated.

I would really appreciate if you could please share any previous experiences. Also, if there is a hike in the salary while getting terminated, is there a need for an H1-B ammendment? Your input in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
