Hi, guys, help me, Please!!! My kid filed I-485 in 2005, she was 13 years old, from NSC to TSC, the last information I got from TSC said:


Your asylum case has been assigned to an officer.
Certain procedures are added to an asylum case when a person turns 14 years old, and these additional procedures may delay the final decision on your case. Also, because these additional procedures are performed by agencies outside of CIS, we cannot predict when your case may be completed at this time. Typically, these additional procedures are completed within one to six months; however, they may take longer in some cases.


Today her LUD is changed and I found new a message:

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.
The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending,please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register.

Could you please tell me what's mean? How long time I can get the finally decision from them?? Thank you very much in advance!!!

This is not an alarming situation. It is routine procedures for those applicants who aged out. When the application was being filed on half your daughter she was probably under 14 years old. Now She is fully 14, that's called "Nonc Pro Tunc". Wait for a notification, then fill out an application explaining why she would not feel save going back, she is going to be approved, her I-145 will then resumed, then approved.
Don't sweat, it is technicality/

I dont think you should give advise like that.. ARE YOU SURE of what you are saying? NPT for a 14 year old.


My sister was 13 when my mother filed for AOS back in 2001. She was never called for any type of NPT filing or interview. In 2006, she was 18 when her GC was approved and no such thing as NPT.
 
"Applicants who file prior to their 14th birthday do not require the fingerprint fee. However, if at the time of adjudication an applicant has reached the age of 14, he/she is required to pay the fingerprint fee and must be scheduled for fingerprinting. If you encounter a case like this, the 14 year-old dependent filing should be separated from the rest of the family group for solicitation of the fee.

Once the fee has been requested, the file will be routed to the appropriate shelf until such time as the file is purged or the fee is received."


Your kid is turning 14 and he needs to complete a G-315A form after the request of fingerprint fee, and has to go through all background check as other adults. That's why you were told the delay in his case to expect "standard processing".

She has waited for more then two years, your mean now she is like she just file I-485 today and everyting is from beginning?

I just got a email from TSC:

"Your fingerprints cleared recently but there is still one more security check pending before we can process your case. I am afraid we cannot give you a time frame on how long that will take."

My question is :Between "fingerprints cleared " and "security check" ,which one is background check by FBI? I mean, which one take more time?

When they say "security check" usually is name check .
 
The background check is a combination of different federal agencies. For seucrity reasons they do not go into detail.
 
I hope you are approve soon... however, by my experience I have gotten several LUD in consecutives days... and then nothing... when I was finally approved I didnt get any LUD prior to the approval update...
