Hi Everyone,

I have been having a very weird LUDs and I need help.

I applied for GC in 07, EB2, Got my GC in OCT 2008. Married before my GC approval and then applied for my wifes 485 on Dec 2008.

There was a problem on my GC, issued date was wrong (2002 instead of 2008), So I send the I90 form once without GC and my application got rejected, then I send the I90 form along with my GC 1 month a go. I have not yet received a receipt notice.

Since then I got a couple of strange LUD on my wifes 485, and yesterday there is an LUD on my wifes GC telling that: On July 29, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. I never saw any 485 approval for my wife and as the word "new" in the update I think that this is my own Green card being updated on her case

What do you think is happening? Is her case alive or dead? why are they updating my stuff on her 485? what should I do?

On top of all these issues I have another problem which I have put a 1 month notice for my apartment and I will lose my mailbox on Aug15th, What do you think I should do with my my address? Do I try to change it now or wait? How do I change my address without even having a receipt notice?

Please help

Card production means they have approved the green card. Once they approve the case, "we ordered production of your new card" is often the first thing that is seen online in the case status.

Hi,

Another Problem/Question:

I called USCIS CS, and then talked to an IO about my own I90 Receipt, It is not in their system and all they had was the rejected version. (I first sent my I90 without sending my actual GC and the application got rejected and resubmitted the docs with my original GC inside the packet), On the other hand the local office does not stamp my passport as it is not in their system and I don't have a reciept .

Note that as it was USCIS mistake, I did not send any check, so there is no check cashing to trackit.

Whats you suggestion? Does that mean that I don't have a Green Card? What will happen if they lose my Green Card?

Many thanks

Troy

When you write that the "local office does not stamp my passport", do you mean you actually went there and that's what they told you?

Basically you can always get a new green card by filing yet another I-90. But you'd have to convince USCIS that it was their mistake that they printed the old card AND their mistake that they lost the second application (assuming you have a postal receipt that the application was delivered) if you don't want to shell out another filing fee. But try Infopass to start with.

--- I have not gone there recently, however, In order to get all the facts before sending my green card, I took an Infopass and went to a local office. I was hoping to get the I-551 stamp then, but they told me that I have to send my GC first and then she specifically mentioned that she can stamp my passport whenever my I90 file is in the USCIS system and I have the receipt, which neither of them has happened yet,

This is really painfull, specifically as I am not sure what they have done and how can I convince them that the have lost my GC
