She clearly says the 6 month new law is more benefit to people filed in very slow centres like Texas. Even if you get terminated within one month of 485 applying(not receipt), as TSC is not anyway going to RFE/approve your application within 6 months, it doesn\'t stop GC as long as you get employment offer letter from some other company by the time of approval.
Really it is good news for people get laid off immediately after applying 485.
