New in CP .. need some help. NVC phone number please.

Hi friends,

I am new in CP. Going to fill up DS203 forms. Can anyone tell me please how and where can I track my case and with which number. Any site or phone number os NVCs.

Search the forum and you will get the NVC no. If you do not know your NVC case no., you can enter your I140 no. and determine the NVC case no.

I do have my case number, but even after seraching I can't get the NVC number on this site or on Google.

Can anyone help please?

it says 'NVC is waiting for the biographic froms from the lawyer, please allow 6 to 8 weeks to review the form...'

Guess this is the DS230 forms they are talking about, Does that mean after recieving those forms they would take 6 to 8 weeks to send them to Mumbai? How long does it take in Mumbai to grant me an interview date? any ideas?

The NVC message you quoted tells us that the NVC is waiting for the packet 3 forms to reach them. This also matches what you said in your first post.

So, the sequence is as follows:

a) You will complete the forms and your attorney sends back the packet 3.

b) The NVC reviews the paperwork and for this the NVC usually quotes about 8 weeks as the time needed for completion (usually it takes 2 to 3 weeks).

c) Once the review is complete the NVC sends the file to the Consulate (about 1 week to 10 days from the date of completion of review).

d) The consulate fixes your appointment (roughly 2 months from the date they receive the file).
