Hi there,

Regarding the proposed new ID card for PRs, I would like to hear your opinions about how new PRs be able to satisfy the requirement of staying for five years in Canada (when they have only landed for a few months!) and how they can get someone (who holds a public office, eg. judge, mayor, etc) to vouch for them.

Great question

I would like to here from you guys about this.If a guy has landed this month and came back to US after couple of days will he be qualified for the PR Card.The person landed now will be safe as far as the 183 day rule is concerned when the new law comes to effect.

nothing\'s definite until the new regulations get in place from jun 28th

lawyer, consultants and others are discussing this information to death at the misc.immigration.canada board, with no resolution in sight.
