New I94 on ReEntry...Can my mom stay long?

Hi.
My mother arrived in USA on June 09, 2008. SHe got 10 years multiple reentry visa.
On Entry she got a 6 month stay on I94. She has to depart by Dec 08, 2008.
Recently we went to mexico on a cruise.
During our exit from USA, carnival took away her I94.
On our reentry after the trip, she was given a new I94 with a date of Apr 28, 2009.

My mom was scheduled to leave on Dec 8, 2008. But now with this new I94, we plan to extend her stay till feb 28, 2008. Will she have issues on re-entry next time? We do not plan to get her back till after 18 months.

I do not see an issue with her overstay since her I94 is now Apr 28, 2009. But only issue I see is her re-entry on her next visit.

Please if anyone has information, then please post earliest.

An extra couple of months won't hurt.

She should be fine and have no problems leaving following the new I-94. However, staying longer periods of time is never recommended... but if she really plans on not coming back until September 2010, then I'd "extend" her stay until Feb 28, 2009.
