new I-20 F1 Visa renewal

Hi,

I got my US Visa last month. It is valid till 2013. I was supposed to join my university this month. But due to some problems I have to defer my admission to the next semester. Now the university has agreed to issue me a new I-20. Will I have to appear for a new visa interview? If yes, does my deferral cause any problem in obtaining a new Visa.

I got a confirmation from the consulate itself that I need not appear for a fresh interview if i'm joining the same university in the next semester. But one has to apply for a new visa if they are planning to attend a different university in the next semester.
