i applied to adjust my stattus from f-1 to green card through the dv lotttery in 2006 and i couldn't get it; my case number was too high so the dv year ended while my application was still pending. now i'm out of college and planning to marry my girlfriend from college (she's US citizen).
but my d/s expires next month. would there be any problems, since i've already shown my intention to stay permanently? also, can i live and work in the US legally while my application is pending?
