New H1B DropBox/Interview - chennai

Hi,

I came to US on F1, joined the job on OPT and have H1 approved. Iam going to India in Dec and plan to get H1 visa stamped In CHENNAI. I read previous threads regardng this and have few questions:

- Around end of october, it seems that new H1B's must go to interview . They cannot use drop box. Has it changed now ? can i use drop box ? Where can i find reliable information on this ?

- If yes, Is the use of drop box a MUST ? or can i choose interview if i want ? Which one is better ?

Currently Chennai requires all H1B and H4 applicants to use drop box. There was probably a temporary change some weeks back.
